College started! YAY!!! college started.. yay! yay!

Music: Find The Real [Alterbridge] - Album:One Day Remains

Yesterday was our orientation and it was (expectedly) filled with 2 hours worth of boring speeches. But then, the ILLUMINATI (the forum of all co-curricular activities) gave a presentation video which was downright explosively choreographed by some of the best talents undoubtedly! It was the first thing till now that gave me the satisfaction that I've joined a good college.
Its got an amazing number of activities like Mountaneering club, Music, even Foreign Student Exchange Programs!!!

Anyways, today was the first day and I was told by someone that no teacher will come for first few classes and even if the teacher comes, no attendance will be taken. Only the seniors come to classes in the mornings and rag the students. So, I decided to go to college late (i.e. I bunked the first 3 classes on the very first day!). As always, it proved to be a wrong decision. No senior seemed to be in the mood of ragging and the math teacher TOOK CLASS AS WELL AS ATTENDANCE!!!
So much for a good start.

What's worse, I have KANNADA classes on monday (for 2 straight hours!!!!). Fortunately we dont have an exam in kannada.

Countdown?!?
Music : The Call of the Ktulu
Mood : Mixed emotions
well, my college was supposed to start on the 1st of september
(after a well deserved and a well spent/wasted 4 month holiday!) and now, I am
told that probably its going to open only after 2 more weeks!!!

YAY!!!
You would ask why the mixed emotions then. Well the answer is
that, First, I was preparing myself and expecting to go to college in 2 more
days and all that hype's gonna get out of my system by the time college
actually starts!

Second, I'm obviously happy that i get more time to read more,
watch more movies, laze around more.

Lookng at this from the second perspective, I think its good I get some more
time to get the most fun out of holidays! What, with all the ferociously
startling comments on how I should get a job through Campus Selection or else
I'd have to run around looking for a job myself be
struggling and kicked around until I get a vaguely decent job with
a low salary
end up with a company paying peanuts for a salary!!

Freedom JAMmed?!?

15th August came, and it went just like that... The famed and much awaited Freedom Jam was postponed due to fears of terrorist threats! and then, it got postponed by a week again! As dumb as it may sound, I think it was sensible enough... what with all the terrorism going on all over the world, Its a damn good possibility that Bangalore might be around the top of the terrorists' hit list!
For those of you who don't know what Freedom Jam is - its a special get together sorta thing for all local bands held around Independance Day (15th of August). A Free Music Festival and the closest Bangalore can get to Live In Woodstock! An uninterested friend of mine also stated they're "cheap indian metal wannabe bands..... losers trying to imitate and ape the west". But they're doing what they like! and they do a pretty good job of it on that stage too!

You wanna watch a movie today? Let it be Cinderella Man!!!
I've finally finished watching the movie (before its released in the theatres here) and I gotta tell you, its an amazing movie if I ever saw one!
If you're a movie buff, or not, just watch this Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger starrer!!!
This is one movie the I'm thankful I watched, you cannot miss this movie!

An amazing boxer loses out because of breaking his hand and then "works 26 hours a day" to feed his family. Finally, managing to convince the board to commission him again, he wins! and of course, I think Renee Zellweger is downright AMAZING!!! ok, so finally he has to fight a Max Baer who's killed 2 men in the ring already and obviously, The Cinderella Man wins!!! There's nothing unexpected about the end that I'll be spoiling for you, but you have to watch it to believe its real !

High Points of the movie: 1) An amazing storyline
2) An amazing act put up by the actors and of course the director
3) Did I mention amazing?!?
I'm in the middle of watching Cinderella Man, actually almostfinished watching 3/4th of the movie... but I just couldn't resist writing down that Renee Zellweger's acting has been top notch!!! not to forget Russel Crowe... ok, I'll finish watching the movie and then maybe write some more
